stamps available at www.jhone.com

Supplies:

2 pieces 4 X 4” matboard/chipboard/heavier cardboard

4 pieces 4 X 4” cardstock

6 pieces 3X3” cardstock

1 yard ¼” ribbon – sheer works better

stamps and inks of your choice

doublestick tape or glue, etc

Stamp 4X4” with background image, if you want to, these will be covered with the 3” squares

Stamp and decorate the 3” squares as you like

Attach 2 of the 4X4 squares to the 2 pieces of mat board

Turn over the mat board and attach 2 pieces of ribbon ½ inch from outside edge with 1 inch onto the mat board so there will be ribbon tails of about 8 inches

Line up the other piece of mat board so the ribbon tails lay straight across it. Put a small piece of  tape or dab of glue underneath the area where the ribbon tail covers the other piece of mat board, attach the other pieces of ribbon to the sticky spot at an angle so that when you spread the tails across the opposite piece of mat board they form an X.

No you need to put adhesive on the backside of the other 4” squares. It is helpful here to use glue or have a spare piece of some kind of release paper to assist in the next step.

Basically you will attach the cover pieces with the ribbon tails over the piece and then wrapped around the opposite side of the cover piece. You need a 1/8 inch or so gap between the pieces of mat board as they lay in front of you and the ribbon should not be taut. Attach the inside first and the get the ribbon around, I actually found YES glue to be the most flexible in doing this.

After this is done you can glue a 3 “ square on the front and back. Attach a 3” square under each set of ribbons. Then put a 3 “ square facedown under the ribbon X on top of the square you already glued down. Now attach adhesive to the last square and lay it faceup on the ribbon X.

Close the card and put it down with the image you want as the front. Open as normal. Now close so the back image is on top. Now open from the opposite side of normal and you will get different images as your inside.

It is nice to edge the mat board before enclosing in the coverstock

The 3 inch square is that size to allow the flipping in the ribbon opening – this will not flip well with a larger size square
